Good news if you own specialty stone floors. You have pretty much the best floors out there that will last years if properly maintained
Bad news is it can be rather costly when it comes to restoration. Typical pricing runs from $8 -$15 bucks per sq ft depending on the types of stone with marble being the highest. Polishing runs about 2.50-3.00 per sq ft
This process involves grinding your floors down to the bare stone with a special machine and diamond pads. We start with a 50-100 grid pad & work our way up to a 1600 grid to create a smooth surface & remove lippage. Then once the stone is smooth we are ready for the polish using a buffer with weights
Last step is to apply a sealer if you want it & in most cases I recommend it.
Listen, there is alot of steps involved in this process, time & preparation is key. Pretty much like setting up to paint in your home we have to cover just about everything.
